Our Work

We leverage technology to provide profitable support for smallholder farmers across Africa, to strengthen the agriculture value chain towards increasing food production. We’re enabling agriculture…first, for the farmer.

What We Do

We explore a full range of agricultural technology solutions that ensure maximum value at the least possible cost to smallholder farmers and other relevant stakeholders, ultimately leading to food security for Africans and the world. Our goal is to unlock sustainable value for smallholder farmers by providing the following;

Input Financing

Sensitisation and Capacity Building

Technology Services

Post-Harvest Management

Access to international markets

Social & Financial Inclusion

Our Technology

With our proprietary technology, our Agricultural Operating System (AOS), we power several apps that enable and enhance different aspects of our operations and generate other big data benefits to the agricultural ecosystem.

Farmer Onboarding

This is the first step in our process where we collect key farmer data (name, location, gender, facial recognition etc), group them in clusters per community, and assign a group leader to each one for better management, training, and development.

After onboarding, we identify the coordinates and measure the size of each farmland as well as inspect viablility, particularly features like soil texture, slope & proximity to water.

We finance through farm inputs and not cash. At this stage, we calculate and disburse loans to smallholder farmers in form of improved seeds, fertilisers and crop protection products, based on farm mapping data and credit worthiness.

As soon as farm inputs are received, farmers begin to plant and we assign field officers to sets of farmer clusters to give tailored advisory, ensure adherence to data-driven best practices, and track progress till harvest.

During this period, we distribute required materials for harvest collection, receive, document and process farmer commodities for storage and digital payment, upon arrival at our warehouses

We monitor all off-taker and inventory activities on all available commodities post harvest.

With our proprietary technology, our Agricultural Operating System (AOS), we power several apps that enable and enhance different aspects of our operations and generate other big data benefits to the agricultural ecosystem.

Our Process

After onboarding, we identify the coordinates and measure the size of each farmer’s field using our AOS. We also inspect viability, particularly features like soil texture, slope & proximity to water for easy irrigation.

Our Process

Based on farm mapping data and credit worthiness, we subsequently calculate and disburse loans to each farmer through their group leader. These loans are in the form of quality and adequate farm inputs such as improved seeds, fertilizers and crop protection products. We finance through farm inputs and not cash.

Our Process

As soon as farm inputs are received, farmers begin to plant and we assign field officers to sets of farmer clusters to give tailored advisory, ensure adherence to data-driven best practices, and track progress till harvest. We monitor, take pictures and report planting and fertilizer application dates, and other important activities throughout the farming season.

Our Process

During this period, we distribute required materials for harvest collection, receive, document and process farmer commodities for storage and digital payment, upon arrival at our warehouses. At this time, farmers repay their loans in form of produce, based on the agreed amounts, and the rest of their harvest serves as their profit. We store these commodities in our warehouses while assessing market prices, and then sell at peak periods to off-takers from local and global markets with whom we have established relationships.
